Credit Suisse

Let's brag about my sweet, dedicated, amazing husband for a little bit. Ever since Taylor got home from his mission 3 years ago he has been working insanely hard all for this summer. He has emailed and spoken to thousands of people from every investment bank in NYC and all over the world getting the experience needed to land his summer 2014 internship on Wall Street. Basically the path to get to where he is takes an extreme amount of dedication and hard work especially because, unlike most of the other candidates going for the same position, Taylor didn't have an expensive Ivy League school or family members to help him out. He did it 100% on his own. We are both so extremely grateful to our Heavenly Father who helped him get all the opportunities that he had and to all the wonderful people he came into contact with which helped him on his path. Mostly I am just so extremely proud of him and all he has done to achieve his dreams. The path was long and hard - and it is still going to be long and hard - but we made it this far which is definitely something to celebrate. Here is a little timeline of Taylor's internships...

Spring 2011 - Taylor got home from his mission
Summer 2011 - Taylor went back to BYU
Winter 2012 - Taylor had an on-campus internship
Summer 2012 - Taylor spent the summer in Dallas at another internship
Fall 2012 - Taylor took the summer off school to have another internship in Arizona
Winter 2013 - Taylor had another on-campus internship
Spring 2013 - We got married!
Summer 2013 - We spent the summer in NYC at another internship
Fall 2013 - Taylor started the finance program at BYU and interviewed for the BIG junior internship AND was one of the first students to be selected for an internship on Wall Street for this summer!
Winter 2014 - Taylor was accepted to the Mergers & Acquisitions group at Credit Suisse
Summer 2014 - Here we are, the long awaited summer junior internship

^^The two Credit Suisse buildings on 24th and Madison Ave, Taylor is on the 19th floor in the left building

^^Cute Elder Wilkins on his mission took a photo in front of one of his favorite buildings - at this point he didn't even know he wanted to work in finance, or be an investment banker, or that this would be the building he would be working in! AND be on the same street that we currently live on. Pretty cool right?!

^^Finally - this summer in front of Credit Suisse

And there you have it - props to my awesome husband.

P.S. If you are wondering what an Investment Banker does, Taylor is in the Mergers and Acquisitions group (M&A) and he will be working with big companies who are buying/selling/or merging with other companies.
