After the wedding in Washington DC/Virginia Taylor and I separated from our family for an anniversary getaway in Wilmington, North Carolina. When we were deciding where along the NC coast we wanted to go I remembered that my favorite show was filmed there and it was settled - One Tree Hill, here we come! We rented a beach house on Wrightsville Beach and headed into Wilmington for dinner to celebrate our one-year anniversary at Ruth's Chris. It was AMAZING!!!! Taylor spoils me - again!

We spent the next day on the beach, our beach house had an amazing private roof top! Too bad it was the beginning of May so it was still a tad chilly and we didn't spend as much time up there as we hoped to. But the beach was great! We spent the evening on the Riverwalk in Wilmington eating the most delicious fish & chips and crab cakes along the river.

Day 3: We packed things up at the house and spent the day sightseeing around Wilmington - seeing all the famous One Tree Hill Locations! We first stopped to have lunch on the pier - LITERALLY had the best fish tacos!!! It was gorgeous. Then we had dinner at The George - Crab Legs from heaven on the river! It was an amazing trip. We spent the night driving back to DC for our flight home with our family the next day.
