halloween.

Well... the whole "having a life outside of the library" continued the rest of the week (Thurs: relax time with T, Fri: dinner at Guru's (BEST SWEET POTATO FRIES EVER) with Brick, Sat: 8-3:30 library then Rumbi (again with the sweet potato fries) with Emily and road trip to SLC to see Mrs. Katie Lifferth!)....but it probably shouldn't have... this week, no more fun for Bree... I'm not behind, but I am certainly not ahead. I have a feeling it is going to be a LONG hard week. (3rd set of midterms start this weekend and go through Thanksgiving) I did really need a break though so I am glad I got to be with all my friends this week and do something fun EVERY night. That really hasn't happened in SO LONG! I forgot what it's like to have a life....

Did I mention I am NOT a fan of Halloween. Such a strange day, I don't really consider it a holiday because there is NO purpose for it.... I do like candy though.

It's weird... 

I actually have a life outside of the library this week.

First time all semester.

Yesterday I made yummy treats with Talyn

best marshmallow caramel corn EVER!

Today I spoke with the newly wed on the phone.

Had dinner with Emily at Zupas.

Went for a long over-due trip to the temple.

and remembered why I love the Book of Mormon so much. 

Ether.

2:25 (Lord speaking) "And behold, I prepare you against these things; for ye cannot cross this great deep save I prepare you against the waves of the sea, and the winds which have gone forth, and the floods which shall come, Therefore what will ye that I should prepare for you that ye may have light when ye are swallowed up in the depths of the sea?"

-this is exactly how I feel these days-

3:2 (Brother of Jared speaking) "O Lord, thous hast said that we must be encompassed about by the floods. -pure faith. God will get us through, he will provide an answer if we ask with FAITH and listen for the answer. this is something I need to work on. I want to have faith like the brother of Jared-

3:6 "..The Lord stretched forth his hand and touched the stones one by one with his finger..."

-the Lord answered, He always does-

3:26 "..If he (Brother of Jared...aka US) would believe in him (the Lord) that he could show unto him all things-it should be shown unto him; therefore the Lord could not withhold anything from him, for he knew that the Lord could show him all things."

-the more we believe, the more faith we have, the more light we can receive, the more we can know, the closer to God we will become-

Basically...

It's fall.

This means

Hot Chocolate.

Warm fires.

Cozy blankets.

Wool coats.

Fuzzy socks.

Yummy sweets.

and ONLY 4 weeks til Thanksgiving!! 

(remember, it's my favorite...and I've been away from home for the past two so I am SUPER excited......PIE FEST!!!!!!!)

A gorgeous friend of mine got married a couple weekends ago and I AM IN LOVE WITH HER WEDDING! It was absolutely gorgeous and perfect. I knew Lindsey when I was a sophomore in high school, she was a senior, and we danced on Orem Dance Company together. She went to a school dance with my brother. Then years later we ran into each other in NYC at the singles ward. I was just leaving for the summer on my study abroad, and she was just coming for an summer internship.

Daren and his brother resurrected a little dance they did at their sisters wedding about 15 years ago. "When you hold my hand, you hold my heart." ADORABLE and HILARIOUS!

ALSO, Daren set up hidden cameras when he proposed to Katie so we were able to watch the whole proposal and literally it was hands down the sweetest thing I have ever seen. (good job Daren-you rock). I'm trying to get the video to post.... 

The dinner was awesome-prime rib! Yummy.
