Honeymoon week 1 - Treasure Island

We flew out to Tampa Florida on Sunday afternoon. When we arrived we picked up our (Mustang) rental car and headed West to Treasure Island, a beautiful little place that is surrounded by water. The tiny two lane road was surrounded by one row of hotels/houses/condos and then water on each side. It was such a fun secluded place and we loved it! We stayed in a little apartment/home for a week right on the beach. We slept 50% of the time, and then watched Heroes and went to the beach for the other half. It was pure relaxation and it was just exactly what we both needed!

 Highway over the ocean.

 Classy rental car. Legit.

Such a great place called Le Chateaux, we loved it!

This is what we woke up to every morning. It was cool and breezy and refreshing and lovely.

This little Mexican restaurant had super yummy salsa, guac, and fried ice cream.

The first sunset of the trip!

 Beach by day.

 Sunset by night.

We made yummy food (only ate out twice), frozen strawberry lemonade, and pina colada's.

Every sunset was unique and gorgeous! All pictures from our living room/balcony.
 dinner + sunset + beach = perfection

Nightly strolls on the beach!

We chased a shark down the shore line! - Well we aren't positive it was a shark but it was something with a black fin. And I'm pretty sure we were the only people on the whole beach who noticed it.. somehow we both happened to see it far out in the water and then looked at each other in disbelief and kind of said something like, "...um, ... did you.... um, nevermind... well, did you see that...looked like a shark?????" - then we naturally grabbed the camera and raced down the shore to follow it. haha.

My favorite picture, I love the sun reflecting on the wet sand. So beautiful.

The view out our front door.

The view out our back door.

Crabby Bill's crab leg dinner! Heavenly!

On to Orlando for our next week of FUN! We'll miss sweet Treasure Island and the gorgeous white sand beach and sunsets. It was perfection!

  1. Awesome photos. You are both very special. Who else would document their honeymoon and share the photos with everyone that loves you. Only uniquely this couple!

  2. The shark picture is terrifying! This justifies my beach-sitting-picture-taking position by the ocean.

    1. I know! That is exactly why I got in the ocean only once, and only got in as far as my hips being underwater.
